Motifs and symbols

The cross is the central sign. Among the necklaces there are crosses with a figure of Christ made of olive wood from Bethlehem, the crucifix on a leather cord or chain, and the Lord's Prayer cross in stainless steel. The Ichthys, the fish, was an early identifying sign of Christians. The Divine Mercy wall picture bears the inscription “Jesus, ich vertraue auf Dich” (“Jesus, I trust in You”). There are also pin badges such as “Team Jesus” and Christian T-shirts with a cross motif.

What are the items suited to?

A cross necklace suits First Holy Communion or Confirmation, the wall picture a housewarming or a gift for older people, and the Ichthys pendant a small present for the youth group. You will find more crosses under Crosses and Necklaces. For the full overview, go to Patron saints.
