The crucifix shows Jesus Christ on the cross, with the plaque bearing the inscription INRI above him. The St Benedict medal recalls St Benedict of Nursia and has long been regarded as a sign of protection and blessing. With both united in one cross, this wall cross is a focal point for prayer and reflection. It sets a calm, dignified accent on the wall and is a meaningful gift for a christening, First Holy Communion, Confirmation or wedding.
The cross is made of olive wood, which is untreated and finely grained. The corpus and INRI plaque are carefully set in, and the St Benedict medal is part of the cross. The cross measures 28 × 15 cm and weighs approx. 280 g. The manufacturer gives Italy as the origin and describes the crucifix as handmade. Before dispatch it is blessed by a Catholic priest in the LUNEXUS warehouse; a business-card-sized certificate showing the date of the blessing is enclosed. In the velvet pouch it reaches you protected and ready to give.
