The crucifix with its INRI plaque is a familiar sign of the Christian faith. This cross translates it into glass and gives it a modern character: at the top a soft gradient runs from light blue to white, recalling a sky, while at the bottom colourful glass beads and abstract patterns glow. The silver-coloured figure of Christ remains the calm centre. The cross suits a child's bedroom, a prayer corner or the wall above the sofa, and it is a gift for a christening, First Holy Communion or Confirmation that joins tradition and the present day.
The cross is made of glass, the figure of Christ of chrome-plated metal; the product data also mentions resin. The surface feels smooth and cool, and the embedded coloured elements give the cross depth depending on how the light falls. At approx. 220 g it is solid but not heavy. According to the manufacturer, it is handmade in Germany. Before dispatch it is blessed by a Catholic priest, and a business-card-sized certificate showing the date of the blessing is enclosed.
