Angels and guardian angels – hand-carved in South Tyrol
A guardian angel is a gift that lasts: for children, newborns and adults as a companion in everyday life. Our angel statues are carved by hand in Val Gardena in South Tyrol, and each one is one of a kind.
Angels and archangels
Alongside the classic guardian angel there are also depictions of the archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, whose feast the Church celebrates on 29 September. The feast of the guardian angels is 2 October.
Gift ideas
Angel statues suit a christening, a birth, First Holy Communion or as a comfort. A wooden angel accompanies a child from the nursery into adult life. You will also find guardian angel pictures under Guardian angel.
The finishes
- Natural: the light wood stays visible, with its grain and fine carved texture.
- Stained: gently tinted, with the grain showing through (multicolour stained: with several tones).
- Colour: hand-painted.
- Genuine gold: finished with gold leaf, also available as antique genuine gold with a patina.
The available finishes and heights can be selected on each statue. Common heights range from approx. 12 cm for the home altar to approx. 100 cm for a church or chapel.
Delivery, shipping and returns
Each statue is prepared for you in the workshop in South Tyrol. Delivery time is approx. 3–4 weeks, and it is shipped insured directly from the workshop to Germany and Austria for €6.90. The 14-day statutory right of withdrawal applies; please report any transport damage to us within 48 hours. A wooden guardian angel is a classic: it stays as a keepsake and later stands in the nursery. A small height of approx. 12 to 20 cm suits a shelf or chest of drawers well.
