The guardian angel accompanies children and adults through everyday life. In this collection you will find guardian angel pictures in many motifs and sizes, guardian angel magnets with a baby, an olive wood angel pendant, a necklace with an angel cross and a keyring with St Christopher and a guardian angel.

A guardian angel is a classic gift for a christening or a birth. Prices range from €9.90 to €29.90. Some items are blessed, and a certificate card showing the date is then included.

Guardian angel pictures for the nursery

Most of the collection consists of guardian angel pictures. The motifs show the angel leading children across a bridge, watching over a sleeping baby, carrying a lantern or accompanying children through a dark forest. There are classic rectangles (12 × 17 cm, 13.5 × 8.5 cm), heart shapes (14 × 15.5 cm), a picture on wood (24.5 × 19.5 cm) and variants with a gold frame or wooden frame. One motif is titled “Vierzehn Englein bei mir stehn” (“Fourteen little angels stand by me”) after the well-known evening prayer. Many families hang the picture above the bed.

Magnets and pendants

Two guardian angel magnets (baby, 6 × 5.5 cm, and baby with lantern, 6.5 cm) are blessed and delivered with a velvet pouch. For on the go there is the olive wood angel pendant from Bethlehem, the olive wood angel cross necklace with a dove and the double-sided embossed keyring with St Christopher and a guardian angel.

The guardian angel in the faith

According to Catholic tradition, every person has a guardian angel who accompanies them. The Church celebrates the Feast of the Guardian Angels on 2 October. Many children learn a guardian angel prayer early on. A picture or pendant is a reminder of this, without guaranteeing anything. It is a sign of blessing, not a promise of protection.

Gift ideas

Guardian angels suit a birth, a christening, the start of school and First Holy Communion. You will find a larger selection for christenings under Christening gifts, more pictures under Pictures & art prints and magnets under Car medals & magnets.

Which guardian angel gift is right?

For newborns and christening children the magnets with a baby and the small pictures (13.5 × 8.5 cm) are popular, for toddlers the pictures with the bridge motif, for schoolchildren the keyring or the olive wood angel pendant. Adults enjoy the necklace with the angel cross or a picture for the bedroom. If you are giving a gift for a christening, it is worth writing the name and date on the back or on a card. That way the picture later becomes a keepsake.
