Description & details

This guardian angel wooden plaque in landscape format shows a praying angel over a sleeping child. At 13.5 × 8.5 cm it is smaller than the framed pictures and finds a place even where little wall space is free.

The motif is one of the oldest forms of guardian angel depiction: the angel as a silent guardian at a child's bedside. The Church remembers the guardian angels on 2 October; families know them above all from the evening prayer. The encyclopaedia tells more:the guardian angel in the saints' encyclopaedia.

  • Dimensions: approx. 13.5 × 8.5 cm, approx. 150 g
  • Material: Solid wood, UV direct print, matt varnish
  • Hanging: hole on the back, mounting kit enclosed
  • Origin: Germany

The plaque is a modest but personal gift for a christening, a birth or a birthday, and also a small present to bring to a christening party. On a door or beside the light switch in the nursery it does not stand out, but it is there.

Our priest also blesses the wooden plaque before it goes out for dispatch, and the certificate card records this. It is shipped via Amazon's logistics network: free in Germany, €5.90 to Austria and France, returns within 30 days.
