Description & details

An angel leads a small child safely across a wooden bridge: this guardian angel picture shows the best-known motif in depictions of the guardian angel. In the small 12 × 17 cm format it fits above a child's bed, next to the cradle or on a chest of drawers.

The picture takes up a thought that accompanies many families: nobody walks their path alone. The Bible already speaks of it – “he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways” (Ps 91:11). The Church remembers the holy guardian angels on 2 October. The bridge over the abyss is an image for the transitions in life through which one is accompanied. You can read more about the belief in the guardian angel in thesaints' encyclopaedia.

  • Dimensions: approx. 12 × 17 cm (outer size with frame), approx. 280 g
  • Finish: Art print on a backing board, real glass front, gold-coloured real wood frame

As a gift for a birth or christening it is a classic that often stays on the wall for a lifetime – godparents and grandparents like to choose it too. The picture is blessed in our warehouse by a Catholic priest, and a certificate card showing the date of the blessing is enclosed.
