Geschenke zu Kommunion & Firmung

Confirmation is the step from child to young person in the faith. A Confirmation gift can be simple, but it should last. Here you will find olive wood cross necklaces, the tau cross, necklaces with a dove as a sign of the Holy Spirit, wall crosses and standing crosses, and glass crosses.

A Catholic priest blesses many items in our warehouse, and a certificate card showing the date is included. Prices start at €5.90. First Holy Communion has its own page.

What should I give for Confirmation?

Those being confirmed are mostly teenagers, so simple shapes and things that can be worn every day count. Popular choices are a cross necklace or a tau cross in olive wood, a necklace with a dove, which stands for the Holy Spirit, and a holding cross for the trouser pocket. For their own room, a wall cross or a glass cross in a strong colour is a good fit.

Gifts from Confirmation sponsors

Confirmation sponsors like to give something that suits the person and recalls the day: a blessed necklace, a cross, with a personal letter and a good wish. The certificate card of the blessing is included with blessed items. Examples of cost (as of October 2026): olive wood necklace €9.90, wooden wall cross €16.90 to €39.90, glass cross €49.90 to €59.90, standing cross €29.90.

Confirmation in the Protestant church, and Communion

Confirmation is a Catholic sacrament; in the Protestant church the equivalent is Confirmation (Konfirmation), for which a cross is also a fitting gift. For children making their First Holy Communion you will find ideas and prices under First Holy Communion gifts.

Making the gift personal

A Confirmation gift is all the better when it suits the person. Ask yourself: does the young person wear jewellery? Do they hang things on the wall? Do they prefer a simple cross or a striking one? If you are unsure, choose a small olive wood cross on a necklace and add a card with your wishes for the road ahead. As for the blessing: a blessed item is a sign of faith and not a promise of protection.
