The dove as a sign of the Holy Spirit: this necklace has a round pendant of approx. 2.0 cm in diameter that shows it as a cut-out in the wood. This makes the dove seem to hover, framed by a ring.

In the Bible the Holy Spirit appears at the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan in the form of a dove. With the olive branch from the story of Noah, it also becomes a sign of peace. That is why the dove is a popular motif for Confirmation, the sacrament that puts the Holy Spirit at its centre.
