Mary, Joseph and the Child Jesus beneath the star: at approx. 10.0 × 9.0 cm, the nativity scene on this olive wood pendant is the largest among the Christmas motifs and brings Christmas to the window or the tree. It is worked by hand in Bethlehem.

The scene reflects what Luke and Matthew tell of the birth of Jesus: a child is born in Bethlehem, with Mary and Joseph at his side. That the pendant is made of olive wood fits the landscape of this story; the olive tree has marked the Holy Land since biblical times.
