Description & details

A small heart with a tau cross inside, set against red: this necklace joins two signs in just approx. 2.5 × 2.3 cm. The red makes a clear accent against the warm tone of the wood.

The T-shaped tau cross takes its name from the Greek letter tau. It was the favourite sign of St Francis of Assisi and is still a Franciscan sign today. Set within the heart, it becomes a symbol of a life of simple devotion, as Francis sought it.
