  • Material: wood from the Gardena Valley – mainly lime wood, depending on size also maple or Swiss stone pine
  • Hand-carved in South Tyrol (Val Gardena), each piece unique
Description & details

Light in her robe, plain in line: this Madonna with Child in a white dress is a modern wooden statue from Val Gardena. The mother holds the Child in front of her in her arm, and the robe falls in vertical folds to the octagonal base.

This model too is a workshop piece that we do not interpret further. Mary with the Child Jesus is the basic image of the Christian Christmas and the sign of motherhood and of trust in God's loving care.

  • Heights: 20 cm, 30 cm, 36 cm, 60 cm
  • Finish: Multicolour stained – three stain tones with wax, depending on the motif with gold or silver accents on details and hems of garments
  • Wood: wood from the Gardena Valley – mainly lime wood, depending on size also maple or Swiss stone pine

The light version suits a christening and First Holy Communion, a birthday surprise for an expectant mother, or a quiet addition to the Marian corner of a chapel. Unlike the sister figure with the darker robe, it looks friendlier and lighter.

Because the stain takes differently depending on the piece of wood, every figure is one of a kind. When you order, it takes approx. 4–5 weeks until the Madonna is with you, insured via UPS from our warehouse in Flieden, to all delivery countries, at €6.90. Every piece is blessed by a Catholic priest in our warehouse in Flieden and comes with a certificate card showing the date of the blessing. If you report transport damage within 48 hours, we will take care of it; in addition, the 14-day right of withdrawal applies.
