Madonna of Fatima with Crown – Hand-Carved Wooden Statue from South Tyrol

The Madonna of Fatima stands before you as a crowned wooden statue: folded hands, a long veil, a rosary with a cross reaching down to her feet, and a cloud beneath her. A figure for people who feel close to Our Lady of Fatima – at home, in the chapel or in church.

Her title goes back to apparitions in Fátima in Portugal. Between May and October 1917 there were six apparitions there, the first on 13 May 1917. They were seen by three shepherd children: Lucia dos Santos and Francisco and Jacinta Marto. 13 May is therefore regarded as the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima.

On 13 May many people put out a figure of Mary; it also makes a fitting gift after a pilgrimage to Fatima or for Mother’s Day in May. Depending on its size, it finds its place on the shelf, in a niche or at the Marian altar.
