The Madonna “Mother of Hope” is a wooden figure of Mary carrying the Child Jesus in her arms. Mary stands upright on a small base, a long veil falls over her hair and shoulders, and the Child nestles against her. The hand-painted version shows her in pink and blue with a golden cloak lining.
“Mother of Hope” is the title the workshop gives this figure; it does not appear as a Marian title in its own right in the sources we checked, so we do not interpret it. In the Christian faith, Mary is the Mother of Jesus, and many believers turn to her in worry and confidence. Here she holds the Child firmly in her arms – an image of loving care.
- Heights: 12 cm, 25 cm, 33 cm, 50 cm

For a christening or the birth of a child, the Madonna with Child is a fitting gift, as it is for Mother's Day or for an expectant mother. She has her place in a Marian corner or on the windowsill of a chapel. You will find more figures of Mary in the Madonna collection.
