If you are looking for a simple figure of Mary on the crescent moon, you will find it in this Immacolata: Mary turns slightly to one side, one hand resting on her chest, the other outstretched; angels’ heads rest at her feet. The four sizes range from a spot on the shelf to the chapel.
The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception falls on 8 December and has been documented since the 9th century. The Immacolata – Italian for “the Immaculate One” – is the image that goes with it: Mary as the one conceived without original sin. This was defined as a doctrine in 1854 by Pope Pius IX in the bull Ineffabilis Deus.
- Heights: 20, 30, 40, 60 cm
- Finishes:natural – the wood is left untreated and finely sanded; multicolour stained; hand-painted (oil paint, gold leaf and silver leaf on the details, sealed with lacquer)

Advent is a lovely occasion: the statue can move in on 8 December and stand in the living room until Christmas. It is just as fitting as a wedding gift, a housewarming present or for the Marian altar of a parish.
