Male saints accompany believers as patrons of professions, family and travel. Our saint statues are carved by hand in Val Gardena in South Tyrol, and each one is one of a kind.
Patrons and their feast days
- St Joseph (19 March): patron saint of families and craftsmen.
- St Florian (4 May): patron saint of firefighters.
- St Anthony of Padua (13 June): venerated as a helper in finding lost things.
- St Michael (29 September): archangel and fighter against evil.
- St Nicholas (6 December): bishop and patron saint of children.
The saints available as statues are shown in the range above. If you are looking for a particular motif that is missing here, get in touch: we will enquire at the workshop for you.
As a gift
A saint statue suits a name day, Confirmation, a fire brigade anniversary or the dedication of a chapel. The recipient's name saint is often a help in choosing. Find out more about the saints in the Lexicon of saints, and more patron saints under Patron saints.
The finishes
- Natural: the pale wood remains visible, with its grain and fine carved texture.
- Stained: gently tinted, with the grain showing through (multicolour stained: with several tones).
- Colour: painted by hand.
- Genuine gold leaf: finished with gold leaf, also available as antique genuine gold leaf with a patina.
The finishes and heights available are shown for each statue. Common heights range from approx. 12 cm for a home altar to approx. 100 cm for a church or chapel.
