St Michael the Archangel fighting the dragon is a hand-carved wooden statue from Val Gardena: a winged warrior in armour and a plumed helmet, the lance firmly in both hands, the dragon writhing on the ground. A powerful motif for Michaels, for churches and for people who like this image.
Michael is an archangel, not a saint in the strict sense. According to the Book of Revelation he fights the dragon, the symbol of the powers hostile to God. His feast day is 29 September. He is venerated as patron, among others, of the Catholic Church, of knights, soldiers, merchants and bakers, and of the city of Brussels. You can read more about him in thesaints' encyclopaedia.
- Heights: 30 cm, 36 cm, 60 cm
- Finish: multicolour stained – three stain tones with wax, with metallic accents on details and hems of the robe depending on the motif

For the christening or Confirmation of a Michael, this statue is a gift that grows with the person. On his feast day, 29 September, it also suits the parish house or as a thank-you to a volunteer.
