Eight corners give this St Christopher medal a distinctive outline: the shape lies between a circle and a square and measures Ø 3.0 cm. The silver-coloured relief shows the saint with the Child Jesus, and it was made in France.

In pictures, St Christopher appears as a giant leaning on a long staff. According to legend, the staff put out leaves. The large figure of St Christopher in Cologne Cathedral is famous for showing him exactly this way. On the medal the motif is reduced in size but easy to recognise.
