St Christopher is the saint of travellers. Whoever travels with him trusts that they will arrive safely after every journey. This pendant shows him with the Child Jesus on his shoulder, together with the wish “Komm gut heim” (“come home safely”). On the back follows the message of blessing “Gott schütze dich” (“God protect you”). In this way you carry two short sentences with you, which also make a fine small gift for people you accompany in prayer on their journeys: new drivers, commuters, pilgrims or the family about to set off on holiday.
The keyring is made of sturdy silver-coloured metal. Both sides carry a clearly worked engraving, and the relief of the saint is easy to make out. At 9 cm long it sits well in the hand and fits car, motorbike or caravan keys. According to the manufacturer, it comes from France. Before dispatch a Catholic priest blesses the pendant, and a certificate showing the date of the blessing is enclosed. The velvet pouch serves for storage and transport and doubles as gift packaging.
