The faceted edge catches the light, and in front of it stands St Christopher with the wish “GUTE FAHRT” (“safe journey”): this keyring measures 8.5 cm, and the medal has a diameter of 2.6 cm. It was made in France.

The legend sends the giant Christopher as a ferryman to a dangerous river, where he carries travellers to the other bank. Today people call on him on every kind of journey, and the wish on the pendant fits that. The back reads “GOTT SCHÜTZE DICH” (“God protect you”). Thesaints' encyclopaedia.
