“Gute Fahrt” (“safe journey”) is written on this St Christopher medal, and it is meant as a wish that you give to yourself or to others. The relief is deeply embossed and shows the saint with the Child Jesus in a landscape; the medal comes from Italy.

According to legend, a giant of a man looked for the most powerful lord in the world and, on the advice of a hermit, carried travellers through a dangerous river. That is how he got his name and his role as companion to all who are on the road. The lettering sums up this thought in two words.
