If you are looking for a St Christopher car medal that you can recognise even out of the corner of your eye, this size is a good choice: at Ø 3.6 cm it is present without being intrusive. The silver-coloured relief in an antique look shows St Christopher with the Child Jesus and looks like an old medal.
The name Christopher means “Christ-bearer”. According to the well-known legend, a giant of a man carried travellers across a dangerous river – and one night a child who grew heavier and heavier: Christ himself. A pious tale with no historical evidence, but it explains why he is still the patron saint of travellers, drivers and pilgrims today. You can read more about him in theencyclopaedia entry on St Christopher.
