A bunch of keys goes with you every day: out of the front door, to work, and back in again in the evening. This St Christopher keyring gives it a face – the saint with the Child Jesus on his shoulder, with the lettering “ST. CRISTOPHER” beneath.
Christopher means “Christ-bearer”. He is regarded as the patron saint of travellers and pilgrims, of motorists and of ferrymen. He is depicted as a giant with a long staff who carries the child safely through the river. You can read more about him in thesaints' encyclopaedia.
