In the Catholic tradition, St Christopher is venerated as the patron saint of travellers. According to legend, he carried the Christ Child safely through a raging river, and this image still accompanies people on road, rail and pilgrim path today. The pendant shows the saint as a relief in a silver look and reminds you, whenever you reach for your keys, that you are carried on your way. Whether as a gift for passing the driving test, before a journey or for a christening: it expresses care and trust without many words.
The keyring is made of solid metal; the product details give pewter. At 8 cm long it is handy, the silver look is timeless, and the key ring sits firmly on the bunch. According to the manufacturer, the pendant comes from Italy. Before dispatch it is blessed by a Catholic priest, and a business-card-sized certificate showing the date of the blessing is enclosed. The black velvet pouch protects it and doubles as gift packaging; the companion card leaves room for a personal dedication.
