Description & details

This wall version of the “Sun of the Resurrection” is meant for hanging. In front of a cross with short arms stands Christ with raised hands, a golden disc glowing behind him. Below, a grey-blue curve with wavy lines completes the picture.

As with the standing version: “Sun of the Resurrection” is the workshop's name, and the data give no closer interpretation. The figure with raised arms is generally understood in the context of Easter as the risen Christ. A wall cross of this kind speaks more of light than of suffering.
