Description & details

St Ubald appears in this wooden statue as a bishop with mitre, crozier and book. He is carved in Val Gardena and intended for people who bear the name, for bricklayers and stonemasons, and for parents who would like to have the patron saint of children in the nursery.

Ubald, born around 1083 and died in 1160, was an Augustinian canon and from about 1129 Bishop of Gubbio. He was already canonised in 1192. According to legend, his intercession saved the city from destruction by Emperor Frederick Barbarossa in 1155. His feast day is 16 May; he is patron saint of Gubbio, of children, and of bricklayers and stonemasons.

Your Ubald is made by hand and is one of a kind. It takes approx. 4–5 weeks until the Ubald arrives where you are. Insured via UPS and from our warehouse in Flieden he goes to all delivery countries (€6.90); you can withdraw within 14 days.
