Description & details

A hand-painted wooden statue for everyone called Jonathan: the young man stands in armour, shield in front of him, a lance with a tassel in his hand. The statue comes in four sizes, hand-painted only.

This usually means Jonathan, the eldest son of King Saul and a close friend of David. He fought successfully against the Philistines, kept David’s back free against Saul and fell with his father on Mount Gilboa; David dedicated a lament to him. Their friendship is regarded in the Bible as an image of faithful devotion.
