  • Material: wood from the Gardena Valley – mainly lime wood, depending on size also maple or Swiss stone pine
  • Hand-carved in South Tyrol (Val Gardena), each piece unique
Description & details

In this wooden statue St Gebhard appears as a bishop: with mitre, raised staff, a book and a small model of a church on his hand. The model with its tower makes him instantly recognisable and gives the piece its own note for church interiors.

The name Gebhard was borne by several bishops, so the name alone does not tell which one is meant. We therefore do not tell a life story but show what you see: a baroque bishop holding a book and a church model.

  • Sizes: 12 cm, 20 cm, 30 cm, 40 cm, 60 cm, 80 cm, 100 cm
  • Finish: Natural, i.e. untreated wood with a fine sanding | Multicolour stained; hems depending on the motif with gold or silver accents | Hand-painted: oil paints, gold leaf and silver leaf
  • Material: Val Gardena wood, mainly lime wood, depending on size also maple or Swiss stone pine

Anyone called Gebhard gets a gift here for a name day, Confirmation or a milestone birthday. Parishes celebrating a church anniversary can also set an accent with the statue.
