“Linea” Cross – Hand-Carved Wooden Cross from South Tyrol

The “Linea” cross is a flat wooden cross without a corpus, with rounded edges. A narrow border of stained wood lies on the surface, and in the middle sits a small square from which four golden rods extend. This creates a cross within a cross.

“Linea” is a model name used by the workshop and means “line” in Italian; we read nothing more into it. The cross is a sign of faith, and the fine lines draw the eye to the centre. Thanks to its calm design, it suits living spaces just as well as a devotional room.

• Heights: 32 cm, 40 cm
• Finishes: Multicolour stained (three stain tones with wax, depending on the motif with gold or silver accents) or hand-painted (with oil colours, gold leaf and silver leaf details)
• Wood: wood from the Gardena Valley – mainly lime wood, depending on size also maple or Swiss stone pine

For a wedding or a housewarming, the Linea cross is a gift that does not feel pushy. It also looks good above the head of a bed or beside a family picture. You will find more crosses in thewoodcarving workshop.

Linea is made by hand in Val Gardena, so every cross remains one of a kind. Delivery time is approx. 3–4 weeks; it is sent insured from South Tyrol, to Germany and Austria, for €6.90.
