On this cross plaque, the risen Christ stands in a painted robe in front of a light wooden board with a cross cut-out. He wears a white garment and a red cloak, his arms are open and slightly raised. The board has been left in its wood colour; only the figure is painted.
The cut-out cross is often seen in the Christian understanding as pointing to the Resurrection, since it appears without a corpus. The Christ in front of it is not the suffering but the transfigured one; the red and white colours underline the festive note. It is a design that suits Easter just as well as a parish house.
