Description & details

The Contemplative Cross is a modern wooden cross without a corpus. The arms of the cross run double and slightly offset, a round disc lies behind the centre, and a small round knob sits at the point where the beams meet. It is a cross for rooms where it should belong quietly.

“Besinnliches Kreuz” (Contemplative Cross) is the workshop's model name; nothing is read into it here. For many Christians, the empty cross is a sign of faith and redemption. The clear form leaves the eye room without steering it.
