The Celtic cross is recognised by the ring around the centre of the cross, which in the Celtic tradition stands for eternity and connection. It is found above all in Ireland and Scotland and has long been worn and displayed as a Christian symbol. This wall cross shows it in a simple wooden form. It brings a calm note to a child's room, prayer corner or hallway and is a fitting gift for a christening, First Holy Communion or Confirmation.
The cross is made of olive wood which, according to the manufacturer, comes from the Holy Land. It is left natural and shows a lively grain, so every piece looks a little different. The ring around the centre of the cross is cleanly shaped, and a gold-coloured hook makes it easy to hang on the wall. Before dispatch the cross is blessed by a Catholic priest in the LUNEXUS warehouse; a business-card-sized certificate showing the date of the blessing is enclosed.
