This necklace carries an openwork cross: instead of a solid surface, a frame of wood remains that you can see through. At approx. 6.5 × 4.5 cm it is large, yet weighs only approx. 16 g.

Openwork crosses work with light and emptiness. The openness can be read as a reference to the empty tomb, even though that is an interpretation and not a fixed sign. The surface is smoothly sanded and natural (untreated), and the grain stays visible.
