Florian is the patron saint of firefighters, and this keyring hangs where you can grab it quickly: on the bunch. The silver-coloured relief is embossed on both sides, and the pendant was made in Germany.
According to tradition, Florian was a high Roman official in the province of Noricum. He is said to have been drowned in the Enns near Lorch on 4 May 304; St Florian Abbey near Linz arose over his grave. The legend that he put out a house fire with a bucket of water explains how he is depicted. Theencyclopaedia entry on St Florian tells more.
