In the Bible the rainbow is the sign of the covenant that God makes with humankind after the flood. A cross in rainbow colours picks up on this and at the same time looks light and cheerful. In a child's room in particular it can be a friendly way into the faith, because the colours draw the eye and change with the daylight. As a gift for a christening, First Holy Communion or Confirmation it remains a visible sign that children like to look at and that brings faith into everyday life.
This cross is handmade in Germany from crystal glass. The colours come from textured glass and blend into one another, so a different picture appears on every piece – every cross is one of a kind. When light falls through it, the play of colour really unfolds. The surface is smooth, the workmanship careful, and at around 200 g the cross feels high-quality. It is intended for wall mounting and for indoor use. Glass should be handled with care so that you enjoy it for a long time.
