When you pick up a statue from our woodcarving workshop, you are holding a piece of South Tyrolean craftsmanship. Our statues are carved by hand in Val Gardena and come to you insured directly from the workshop.
Hand-carved in Val Gardena
Val Gardena in South Tyrol has been known for its woodcarving for centuries. Our partner workshop Demi-Art works there under the artistic direction of master sculptor Karl Demetz. According to the workshop, mainly lime wood is used, and depending on the series and size also Swiss stone pine. Every statue is one of a kind: the grain and painting differ from piece to piece.

The finishes
- Natural: the pale wood with its grain and carved texture remains visible.
- Stained: gently tinted, also available multicolour stained.
- Colour: painted by hand.
- Genuine gold leaf and antique genuine gold leaf: finished with gold leaf, antique with a patina.
