Benedict of Nursia is regarded as the father of Western monasticism, and his medal has long been a widespread sign in the Catholic faith. The Latin inscription on the medal of this rosary asks for support at the hour of death. Joined with the praying of the rosary, the medal becomes a companion that invites recollection: bead by bead you say the Our Father and Hail Mary, and the crucifix recalls Jesus Christ. The rosary suits as a gift for First Holy Communion, Confirmation or christening, and for everyone who venerates St Benedict.
The oval wooden beads are black and lie warm and smooth in the hand, and the link chain is silver-coloured and robust. The metal crucifix is enamelled and measures 2 × 4 cm, and the medal is round and bears the image of St Benedict. The structure follows the classic rosary with 59 beads. Before dispatch the rosary is blessed by a Catholic priest in the LUNEXUS warehouse; a business-card-sized certificate showing the date of the blessing is enclosed. In the velvet pouch it stays protected and is ready to give as a gift.
