Three elongated slots in the wide head of the spatula let fat, juices or cooking liquid flow back into the pan while the food stays securely on the spatula. This makes turning and serving fried potatoes, vegetables, meat, fish or egg dishes controlled. At around 34 cm long, there is also enough distance from the heat. The gently curved handle sits well in the hand and makes the spatula a practical everyday helper in the kitchen.
The solid olive wood comes from olive groves in the Bethlehem region and is shaped with careful handwork. The dense structure of the hardwood gives stability and a smooth surface. Because no metal parts are fitted, the spatula is gentle on coated pans, cast iron, stainless steel and ceramic. Every piece has its own grain, and colour and pattern may vary slightly. With a little care – washed by hand, dried thoroughly and occasionally treated with cooking oil – the surface stays beautiful for a long time.
