A cross belongs in many homes: above the bed, on the wall in the hallway, on the shelf or in the nursery. In this collection you will find wooden wall crosses and standing crosses, glass crosses, holding crosses and small comfort crosses, as well as metal crosses with a corpus.

The woods range from olive wood from Bethlehem through lime and oak to beech. A Catholic priest blesses many items in our warehouse, and a certificate card showing the date is included. Prices start at €9.90.

Wooden wall cross: choosing by material

The wall cross is the classic choice. We have wall crosses in lime wood in 26 cm, 28 cm (light or dark) and 30 cm, in oak (16 × 9.5 cm, natural or with a bevelled edge), in beech (30 cm) and in olive wood (16 × 9 cm, 25 × 15 cm and 30 cm). The olive wood crosses are mostly described as handmade in Bethlehem. Small crosses of 16 cm suit the space above a bed or a niche, while a 30 cm cross stands out even in a large living room. Wall crosses with a corpus, that is with the figure of Christ, come in silver and gold finishes in metal (11 × 5.5 cm).

Standing cross and table cross

Standing crosses suit a shelf, chest of drawers or bedside table. Several models can be taken apart and stand on a base: the olive wood standing cross at 18.5 cm, and the beech wood standing crosses at 18 cm and 28.5 cm (the larger one from Germany). A standing cross with a tealight holder (23.5 cm, beech) turns the cross into a small place of prayer.

Glass crosses, holding crosses and comfort crosses

The glass crosses in rainbow colours, blue with a fish symbol, speckled blue-green and red transparent are more like ornaments for the wall and cost €49.90 to €59.90. The olive wood holding cross (9 cm) and the comfort cross have quite a different effect: they are small enough for the hand or trouser pocket and are often given in illness or bereavement.

A cross as a gift

A cross is a classic gift for a christening, First Holy Communion and Confirmation, for moving into a new home or for a wedding. A cross of their own for the nursery often stays with a child for life. Suitable selections: First Holy Communion gifts, Christening gifts and Confirmation gifts. If you are looking for a cross to wear, you will find it under Necklaces. The olive wood cross has a story of its own, which we tell in the article The olive wood cross: a symbol of faith with roots in Bethlehem.

Hanging and standing a cross

For a wall cross you need a suitable nail or hook depending on its weight; for larger crosses and glass crosses, make sure the wall can bear the load. Standing crosses only need a level, steady surface. If you are looking for a cross for the nursery, it is best to take a light wall cross in lime or oak in 16 to 28 cm. For parents and godparents it is worth considering the size and wall colour beforehand: light wood looks delicate on a white wall, dark wood sets an accent.

A Catholic priest blesses many of our items in our warehouse; a certificate card showing the date of the blessing is included. For parishes and groups there is a quantity discount on request (More about the quantity discount).

Frequently asked questions

Which wood suits a wall cross?
That is a matter of taste. Lime is light and smooth, oak strong, beech finely grained, and olive wood lively in its grain, and with us it comes from Bethlehem.

How high do you hang a wall cross?
Above eye level is usual, and in the bedroom often above the bed. What matters is that you enjoy looking at it.

Are the items blessed?
Many, but not all. A Catholic priest blesses many of our items in our warehouse; a certificate card showing the date of the blessing is included. Whether an item is blessed is stated in the product title or in the description.

Are there crosses with a corpus?
Yes, for example a silver-coloured and a gold-coloured metal wall cross with the figure of Christ, each with a velvet pouch. There are also cross necklaces with a crucifix under the necklaces.

How much does a wall cross cost?
Simple wooden wall crosses start at €16.90, and olive wood crosses cost between €19.90 and €39.90 depending on size (as of October 2026).
