He wears a white garment and a red cloak, his arms are open and slightly raised. The board has been left in its wood colour; only the figure is painted.

The cut-out cross is often seen in the Christian understanding as pointing to the Resurrection, since it appears without a corpus. The Christ in front of it is not the suffering but the transfigured one; the red and white colours underline the festive note. It is a design that suits Easter just as well as a parish house.

Dimensions: 30 × 22 cm, 60 × 44 cm

Finish: hand-painted: painted with oil colours, decorated with gold leaf and silver leaf details, fixed with lacquer

Wood: Val Gardena wood, mainly lime wood, depending on size also maple or Swiss stone pine

It suits the Herrgottswinkel (the traditional crucifix corner), walls in a parish hall and gifts for Easter or First Holy Communion.
