The figure spreads its arms upwards, wears a grey robe and a golden nimbus; squares in gold and silver set accents at the ends of the cross.

The name is a designation used by the workshop and is left unexplained. Christ with raised arms is understood in Christian imagery as a sign of the resurrection, as the title suggests. The cross therefore recalls hope rather than suffering.

Sizes: 32 cm, 40 cm, 52 cm

Finishes: hand-painted (oil colours, gold leaf and silver leaf details, lacquer fixing) or antique genuine gold (fine craquelé surface, real gold leaf)

Wood: Val Gardena wood, mainly lime wood, depending on size also maple or Swiss stone pine

In a house of mourning, a cross like this can be a comfort without glossing over grief.
